Merlot Veronese IGT - 2017 - Sansonina

In the middle of the nineties Sergio Zenato's wife Carla fulfilled her dream of vinification of an outstanding red wine. She bought a 12-hectare vineyard named Sansonina, of which three hectares of Merlot vines were already populated. Here, she grapes a very rich, yet elegant, fine Merlot wine and a small portion of Cabernet Sauvignon. Sansonina is aged for 18 months in small oak barrels. Round, silky and with all its extracts glamorously slim, this elixir carries aromas with black cherries, currants, cocoa and herbs. Fine-grained tannins lead to a long reverberation. Serving suggestions: Recommended for grilled dark meat, boiled meat, steamed poultry and rabbit, roast meat and medium-ripe cheese.
