Gravello Calabria IGT Tenuta Arcidiaconato - 2021 - Librandi

A red with a long shelf life, produced only in limited editions. The temptation to compare the oldest grape variety in Calabria, Gaglioppo, with the noble Cabernet was strong - the Librandi winery could not resist. After years of experimentation, the result was extraordinary: Gravello. The combination of the two grape varieties was successful, almost perfect. A full, dark red with purple reflections in the colour, finely reminiscent of black berry fruits in the fragrance and full, round, velvety on the palate with hints of cooked plums and sweet liquorice, persistent in the finish.
